World Tai Chi & Qigong Day will be celebrated 10 a.m. at Unity Square. Along with people in over 80 nations on the last Saturday of April, a local group will be performing onstage. This event is free and open to the public.

2023 SAFE-NOW's Walk a Mile in Her Shoes 10 a.m. to noon at Frank Phillips Park, 222 SW Frank Phillips Blvd. SAFE-NOW provides forensic medical exams for victims of sexual assault, child abuse and domestic violence. Get your team together and come walk a symbolic mile downtown Frank Phillips Blvd, wearing our signature red heels. Can’t walk in heels? No problem! Come join us anyway and wear your comfy shoes. This is a fun family Walk event. Lots of prizes and giveaways.

Healthy Kids Day 9 a.m. to noon at the Richard Kane YMCA, 101 N Osage Ave. This free community event will feature Booths from community vendors, obstacle course, kids fitness class demo, bounce house, Touch-a-truck with local Bartlesville First Responders, and Batman There will be a $0 YMCA joiner's fee all day and more.

Washington County Master Gardeners Plant Sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. behind the Dewey Fairground building Bring wheeled carts and wagons.  Due to construction in the area, parking will be limited to the side and front of the fairground building. Only cash or checks are accepted.

Martha's Task's annual Purse-n-ali-tea party will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, 801 SE Washington Blvd. Tickets are $25 each. Tom Mix Museum's “Mixin’ It Up Under the Stars” 55th Anniversary fundraiser begins at 5 p.m. and will feature a chuck wagon barbecue, concert and auction at the Washington County Fairgrounds. The cost is $20 for 16 years old and over, $10 for 7-15 years old, and 6 and under are free. Tickets may be purchased at the Tom Mix Museum at 721 N Delaware in Dewey or by calling 918-534-1555. Or they may be purchased at the event.

Poker Run benefiting The Boys and Girls Club of Bartlesville 11 a.m. Bartlesville Cycle Sports, 231 NE Washington Blvd. Come help support the club with the Poker run followed by the Harley Party and buy a chance to win a new Harley-Davidson. motorcycle. Price Towers Annual Youth Art Show 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Price Tower Art Center, 510 Dewey Ave. Celebrating youth art education and young artists with more than 300 pieces of artwork from students in public, private, and homeschools from grades Pre-K to 12th grade. An opening reception will be 1 to 2:30 p.m. April 1.

Bartlesville Astronomy Club meets at 7 p.m. in library meeting room A.  Presentation will be on professional astronomy in Chile.  Visitors welcome.

Oklahoma Beginnings: The Legacy of Ranching in Northeast Oklahoma 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Bartlesville Area History Museum, 401 S Johnstone Ave. Join us in exploring the rich ranching history of Washington County. The exhibit will feature artifacts from local ranches, display examples of local cattle brands, history of ranching coloring station, and a turn of the century Nelson Carr One-Room School. In the Kitchen w/ Susan, A Free Healthy Cooking Classes noon to 1 p.m. at the Bartlesville Public Library, meeting room A, 600 S Johnstone. Susan loves to share with us how she has made healthy cooking easy in her own home and brings her best ideas and practices to make us all better chefs. The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary will install officers 10:30 a.m. at 101 N. Bucy. The meeting will be followed by a luncheon. The auxiliary is a volunteer organization that is open to all area women. It supports the various programs of the Salvation Army.

“What are YOU Missing?”  - Dr. Andrea Wagner from 3-4 p.m. Give your ears a tune-up and learn more about good hearing health from local audiologist,  Dr. Andrea Wagner. Topics covered include how normal hearing works; different types of hearing loss; an explanation of over-the-counter hearing aids vs prescription hearing aids and when to consider amplification/hearing aids/cognitive implications.  Hosted by Elder Care. The Washington County Health Department will host a free eight-week diabetes Conversation Map® education class at noon on Wednesdays, May 3 through June 21. National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution Bartlesville Chapter meets at 1:00 p.m. at the Neighborhood Connection Building at 601 S. Shawnee Avenue. The program for May will feature Chris Cook, Board of Directors of the Lighthouse Outreach Center of Bartlesville. He will have news of their latest programs and initiatives to aid the homeless in a faith-based environment. A time of fellowship in advance of the meeting will begin at 12:00. Go Travel day trip from  9 a.m.-4 p.m. Elder Care’s Go-Travel “A Day of Inspiration” day trip includes transportation, driver, guide, entrance to the Tulsa Glassblowing School, a two-hour glassblowing class, and lunch on the river. Putt Putt for Paws 6:30 to 9:30 p.m at Jr. Miniature Golf on Madison just off Tuxedo. Bring your family and friends to show your support for Washington County animals in need. There will be food available for purchase as well as a Star Wars themed costume contest for best dressed human, best dressed pet and best dressed human & pet! All proceeds will benefit the Washington County SPCA. Cost is $6 per person per game or 2 games per person for $10 when purchased at the same time.

Washington County Health Department Pool Operator Course from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The course is for pool operators and anyone who would like to increase their pool knowledge. WASONO Shrine Club will give out 10-pound bags of Vidalia onions for a $12 donation over the weekend, as long as supplies last. Onion pickup is at the front door of the Bartlesville Masonic Lodge, 610 NE Washington Blvd. from noon-5 p.m. Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, May 6, noon-5 p.m. Sunday, May 7 and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday. However, club members suggest getting there as early as possible because they may not be available still by Monday. The money goes to help the club fund the transport of children to various Shriner's hospitals as well as free popcorn at the Christmas Parade.

Stray Kat Kustoms 500 Car Show 2023 in Downtown Dewey, Don Tyler east of Hwy 75. We love "real" Kustoms and Hot Rods. We created a relaxing, laid back atmosphere where you can meet new friends and talk about Kustoms and Hot Rods. We have trophies for the Koolest Kat Kustom. There will be music, artist, antique stores and more.

Letters From Home: The 50 State Tour 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bartlesville Community Center, 300 SE Adams Blvd. The duo, Erinn Dearth and Dan Beckmann, have performed over 900 shows across the United States and the 75th Anniversary of D-Day in Normandy, France. The Good, The Bad, & The BBQ fundraiser to benefit programs and services at Elder Care the Hughes Ranch, 63 County Rd 2696, just minutes from downtown Bartlesville on Highway 123. The outdoor fundraiser will be held under a large party tent and includes a BBQ dinner, music and dancing, and live and silent auctions. A cash bar will be available. Fishing Derby, hosted by Kiwanis Club of Bartlesville 9 to 11:30 a.m. Jo Allyn Lowe Park, 2600 SE Price Road. Children between the ages of 3-12 are welcome to participate. All children must be accompanied by an adult, and they must provide their own tackle and bait. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. at the shelter on the west side of the lake. Prizes for all participants, but there are trophies for the longest fish caught in each age group. There are ribbons for the longest Bass, Sunfish and other fish species.

Antiques and Collectables' 32nd annual Dewey Antique Show from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Washington County Fair building in Dewey. Tickets are $5 each. All ticket proceeds from the show go back into Washington County nonprofit organizations like the Clothes closet for elementary schools, FFA, 4H, Journey Home, ARF, SPCA, Kiddie Park, Dewey Hotel, Tom Mix Museum and a $1,500 scholarship to a graduating senior in Washington County.
