FlavorFest 2023 at SaZa

FlavorFest is happening Friday at SaZa in downtown Montgomery.
FlavorFest is happening Friday at SaZa in downtown Montgomery.

Celebrate pizza and PRIDE on Friday 5:30 p.m. at SaZa Serious Italian, 130 Commerce St., Montgomery. It's a free and flavorful event presented by SaZa and Central Alabama Alliance Resource & Advocacy Center (CAARAC) — food, friends, community and LGBTQiA PRIDE. Prize drawings, cash bar, specialty drinks, and free samples of SaZa pizzas.

Crawfish Boil at Harley-Davidson of Montgomery

A day of bikes, competitions and crawfish is coming to Harley-Davidson of Montgomery, 655 N. Eastern Blvd., on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Along with the crawfish boil, they'll have a custom bike showcase, audio competition, auction, vendors, live music and more. $10 entry fee — proceeds go to Hunt For Life Foundation that helps kids, wounded veterans and first responders.

Grand opening of C&C Outdoor Living

They'll have food, fun and giveaways Saturday 9:30 a.m. for the grand opening of C&C Outdoor Living, 4161 Troy Highway, Montgomery. They're a new place in town for landscape materials, hardware, garden & gifts. Get more info at 334-593-1011.

Set It Off Saturday

Come out to Dreamland, 12 W. Jefferson St., Saturday at 1 p.m. Join CAARAC for lunch and a healthy sexual conversation. Empower yourself to show PRIDE in yourself, your relationships, and your community. This program welcomes a special guest speaker. Lunch will be provided. Support for this event has been provided by Gilead Sciences. This event has a group. Montgomery Water Lantern Festival is Saturday

The Montgomery Water Lantern Festival is happening Saturday, 6 p.m. at Blount Cultural Park, 1 Festival Drive. This is a floating lantern event. From 5-9 p.m. enjoy food trucks, music and fun. Design your lantern at 8 p.m., and lanterns are launched between 8:30-9 p.m. as the sun sets. Prices through Thursday are $26.98, Friday is $45.99, and Saturday is $55.99. Dads get in free Father's Day at the zoo

All dads receive free admission Sunday to the Montgomery Zoo and the Mann Wildlife Learning Museum in honor of Father's Day. The zoo is at 2301 Coliseum Parkway. For this day, Overlook Cafe will have a Father's Day special: pulled pork meal with sauce on side, potato salad, peach cobbler, Texas toast and a 16oz. beverage for $12. The zoo will be open 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Comedy show at The Statesman

Add some laughs to your drinks Wednesday, June 21, at The Statesman, 107 S. Court St., Montgomery. Dan Alten is bringing a free comedy show to GTSouth Geek & Gaming Tavern, 2015 Cong. WL Dickinson Drive, Thursday, June 22, at 10 p.m. Alten is a nationally touring comedian from Kentucky who has headlined shows in 30 states.

One Place Family Justice Center Benefit Poker Run

A benefit poker run from Punishers LEMC Three Rivers is June 24, 11 a.m. to midnight at Harley-Davidson of Montgomery, 655 N. Eastern Blvd. Registration for the poker run is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It's $25 for riders, and $10 for passengers. Stops are Little Bit of Texas, The American Legion in Millbrook, Big Star Tavern. First bike to Three Rivers Club House no earlier than 4:30 p.m. and no later than 5:30 p.m. — 1354 Friendly Pine Road, Elmore. Live music by Bruce Smelley. Pride Picnic on the Creek in Prattville

Celebrate PRIDE Month with a picnic on Autauga Creek in downtown Prattville on Saturday, June 24 at noon. Organized by Wolf & Mercantile, 146 W. Main St. They'll have PRIDE merch inside and also will be handing out goodies. Clever Bev will be making complimentary PRIDE cookies too — first come first serve.

Sock Drive for the homeless

On Saturday, June 24, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at 1156 Oak St., Montgomery, C.H.A.N.G.E. Community Resource Center will be collecting new socks for the homeless. All socks collected will be donated to homeless shelters for men, women and children. Call 334-245-3966 or visit changealabama.org.

Hotdogs, ice cream and the 36th annual Patriotic Concert

Join First United Methodist Church of Montgomery on Sunday, June 25 as their Music Ministry presents the 36th annual Patriotic Concert featuring all the tunes and songs you know and love including the music of Irving Berlin, John Williams, and Mark Hayes and all time favorites like The Battle Hymn of the Republic, Down by the Riverside, and The Stars and Stripes Forever! Lake Jordan HOBO Boat Parade

Boats will assemble at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, and the parade starts at 2 p.m. It'll last about an hour. The route starts at the State Dock (Camp Rotary), proceed up the Titus side, then loop around at the opening to Blackwell's and go back down the Holtville side, ending in front of the canal. Cabaret at ASF
