Wednesday, March 15 through Monday, Sept. 4

1840's Mountain Man Camp at Woolaroc 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Woolaroc, 12 miles SW on Hwy 123 from US 60. Get transported to a 1840's fur trader camp where you can learn how to throw a tomahawk and shoot a black powder long gun and experience hands-on engagement with our mountain men. The camp is included with your admission to Woolaroc. Tickets to Woolaroc are $14 for ages 13 to 64, Seniors 65+ $12, Military $10, children 12 and under are free. Woolaroc Animal Barn 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Woolaroc, 12 miles SW on Hwy 123 from US 60. The Animal Barn houses some of our favorite furry friends, which include but are not limited to rabbits, chickens, goats, and donkeys. The Bartlesville Area History Museum is excited to invite the public to frolic into the history of Bartlesville’s park systems with City Council representative Billie Roane and a surprise guest as they speak about the history of Bartlesville’s beautiful city parks. This event will be held from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. No reservation is necessary. The Bartlesville Chapter of SAR (Sons of the American Revolution) 6:30 p.m. at the Bartlesville Library in Conference Room C (Downstairs). Please note that this is a new location. Bartlesville Women's Network presents the 2023 History Maker celebration at 7 p.m. at Tri County Tech's Osage Room to honor National Women’s History Month. Deborah Langley is the 2023 History Maker of the Year, an award granted to women who have made a significant difference in our community. The speaker will be Dr. Karen Neurohr, an Oklahoma State University professor noted for her work with the statewide ListenOK oral history archives that include the seven local Taproots books published by Women’s Network. These volumes contain interviews with more than 50 Bartlesville area women and are available for sale at the Bartlesville Area History Museum.

The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary will elect officers at this months meeting at the Citadel, 101 N. Bucy. A social time at 10 a.m. will be followed by the business meeting at 10:30. The auxiliary is a volunteer organization that is open to all area women. It helps support the various social programs of the Salvation Army.

Project Glam: Pick A Dress 2 to 5 p.m. at Delaware Tribe, 5100 Tuxedo Blvd. Come pick out a free prom dress (limited shoes and accessories available), enjoy refreshments, and receive a “Preppin’ for Prom” swag bag! This event is open to the public, students do not have to be tribal to participate.

The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary’s “Puttin’ on the Glitz” jewelry sale and gala will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at Highland Park Baptist Church, 300 SE Washington. The annual fundraiser will also include an array of desserts and coffee, favors and an impressive door prize. Block Party Cook-off 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Bartlesville Police are hosting a BBQ Cook-off. Categories are ribs, chicken, and cook’s choice. Light it Up Blue 2023 5K and Fun Run 8 to 9:30 a.m. Registration opens March 1. Packet pick-up 4:30 to 6 p.m. at Paths to Independence, 4620 E Frank Phillips Blvd.

Operation Clean House 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at two locations: the Phillips 66 downtown parking lot and the District 2 Washington County barn in Dewey. A countywide event for Washington County residents to dispose of hazardous household and automotive good without harming the environment. More than a hundred volunteers are needed to help offload and organize the waste drop off, organizers say. Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and breakfast and/or lunch. 2023 SAFE-NOW's Walk a Mile in Her Shoes 10 a.m. to noon at Frank Phillips Park, 222 SW Frank Phillips Blvd. SAFE-NOW provides forensic medical exams for victims of sexual assault, child abuse and domestic violence. Get your team together and come walk a symbolic mile downtown Frank Phillips Blvd, wearing our signature red heels. Can’t walk in heels? No problem! Come join us anyway and wear your comfy shoes. This is a fun family Walk event. Lots of prizes and giveaways.
