The “Virginia is for Lovers” tourism slogan helped attract Hustler Hollywood to explore Hampton Roads for the store’s East Coast expansion.

“We couldn’t help but consider Virginia Beach,” company vice president Philip Del Rio said in a news release. “The area is a popular vacation spot and attracts people from all over.”

Hustler Hollywood, a national romance boutique and part of Larry Flynt’s Hustler empire, opened in July at 6034 E. Virginia Beach Blvd in Norfolk. It’s located just 15 miles from the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.

Started in 1998 on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, the company is based in Los Angeles. With 42 locations throughout the U.S., the newest location with 10,000 square feet of space is the company’s largest brick-and-mortar store on the East Coast.

Company spokesperson Minda Gowen said Hustler Hollywood plans to have close to 60 stores opened by the end of 2022.

The store’s inventory includes lingerie, jewelry, accessories, bath and body items, and unique gifts, games and party supplies for bachelor/bachelorette parties and bridal showers.

“We look forward to serving the community and its many guests for years to come,” Del Rio said.
