Which California candidates will debate before the November Election?

Candidates running for Governor of California, Gov. Gavin Newsom and Republican state Sen. Brian Dahle, will likely debate in October. One candidate has agreed to debate once on the radio, while the other has agreed to do at least two televised debates. Newsom has agreed to debate on KQED on Oct. 23. The debate would air live on 88.5 FM and 89.3 FM in Northern California, and will be offered to all radio stations in California, along with a video live stream, according to KQED. The debate falls on a busy sports day known for a day full of National League Football games, plus Major League Baseball playoffs. The same radio station hosted the only gubernatorial debate in 2018 between Newsom and his opponent, Republican John Cox. Video cameras were not present.
