California DMV requests millions more to improve customer service

After a scathing audit found California’s DMV failed to reduce wait times at its offices, despite getting millions of dollars to fix the problem, the Department of Motor Vehicles is now asking for tens of millions of dollars more to improve customer service. In a budget change proposal, DMV is requesting an additional $162 million, on top of the $1.2 billion budget it already has.
