The Stockton Assemblymember held about 57% of the more than 14,000 ballots already counted. Veronica Vargas had nearly 29% of the vote, followed by Mateo Bedolla with about 14%.

The numbers remained largely the same when the second round of results were released just after midnight. Villapudua held 56.58% of the 16,418 ballots already counted. Vargas had 28.70% of the vote, followed by Bedolla with about 14%. Write-in candidate Jessica Wagner received 12 votes.
