California lawmakers call for audit of spending on homelessness

The state spends billions of dollars each year trying to address the homeless crisis, but is it working? There is a new bipartisan effort among lawmakers to try to find out. In a Joint Legislative Audit Committee hearing on Wednesday at 9 a.m. in room 126 of the State Capitol, a group of lawmakers will be asking for the go-ahead to have the State Auditor look into the issue.
