Fans of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter can apparate to Universal Orlando's CityWalk for "The House of Minalima," a unique Harry Potter pop-up shop.
The designing duo are responsible for some of the most iconic images and items in the wizarding franchise. The shop founders have redesigned their beloved props onto products so fans can rock their love for their favorite fictional characters and school.
What is 'MinaLima' and why are they so beloved by Harry Potter fans?
Founded by designers Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima, Studio MinaLima graphic design company that produces props such as book covers, posters, and other graphical elements for films.
According to their website, the pair first started working together in 2001 to "imagine and create the graphic universe" for the Harry Potter film series. After seeing major success from crafting the style for the movies, they started their own studio in 2009.
They have since gone on to design props for the Universal Studios' Harry Potter theme parks across the globe and 2015's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them film series.
The House of MinaLima is celebrated worldwide with its flagship establishment in London, UK, and ephemeral boutiques in Osaka, Tokyo, Seoul, Paris, and New York City.
What props did MinaLima create for the Harry Potter franchise?
Mina and Lima designed some of the most renowned and loved film props, such as the Hogwarts Acceptance Letter, The Marauder’s Map, The Daily Prophet and the Black Family Tapestry.
What will the 'House of MinaLima' have at Universal Orlando's CityWalk?
The pop-up shop will have a variety of authentic, MinaLima-designed magical keepsakes such as prints, journals, stationery, home décor and accessories.
Fans will recognize iconic items from the movies, such as a Black Family Tapestry-inspired journal, Marauder’s Map-themed pillow, and tote inspired by Harry’s wanted poster.
Where is the 'House of MinaLima' pop-up located in Universal Orlando's CityWalk?
The limited time pop-up will be housed inside the Universal Studios Store in Universal CityWalk, between Cinnabon and Voodoo Donuts.
The store is found right in the middle of the entertainment complex, across the lake in between the two Universal Orlando theme parks — Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure.
Do I need a pass to get into Universal Citywalk?
No, you do not need a Universal pass to get into Citywalk.
You will need to pay a parking fee, which is $27. There is free self-parking after 6 p.m. for all guests.
How long will the 'House of MinaLima' run for?
An ending date for the pop-up store has yet to be announced by Universal officials.
