Calls for change at gay pride parade in Kosovo

Around 90 percent of Kosovo's population is Muslim and the country has a largely traditional, conservative society similar to other parts of the Balkans.

In March, Kosovo's parliament failed to pass an amendment to the civil code that would have permitted civil unions between people of the same sex.
