The First Trailer for the New Season of ‘WCTH’ Shows a Super Emotional Moment About Jack

From The Pioneer Woman

Curious about what’s going on in Hope Valley? Good news: You can stop wondering! The season eight premiere of When Calls the Heart is just around the corner.

Of course, it’s been over nine months since the season seven finale aired, so you might have some questions. Like, when can we actually expect a new episode? Is everyone from the cast coming back? Will Elizabeth Thatcher finally start a new relationship?

All of that and more is in store for Hearties when the show returns. In fact, according to Entertainment Tonight, there will even be a wedding in our future! There's not much info about the nuptials yet, but rest assured we'll keep you updated when we hear more. In the mean time, check out what we know so far about When Calls the Heart season 8.

When is the 'When Calls the Heart' season 8 release date?

When Calls the Heart comes back on Sunday, February 21, at 9 p.m. ET. With that Elizabeth/Nathan/Lucas love triangle looming, it's only fitting that the eighth season of When Calls the Heart is set to release during the month of love.

Is there a trailer?

Yes, and it’s a doozy. As fans know, Elizabeth has been dealing with the death of her husband Jack for a few years now. She hasn’t fully moved on yet, even though she’s considered a relationship with both Nathan and Lucas. Now, it seems she’s prepared to take the next step—and finally take off her wedding ring.

The clip above shows Elizabeth seeking advice from Rosemary, who wisely tells her, “You lost your husband. But you will find your way.” It next shifts to sweet moments between Elizabeth and her two suitors before making it clear that Elizabeth is ready to choose: “For too long I’ve allowed myself to drift between two good men,” she says. A voiceover finishes her thought with, “This is the moment.” Does anyone else have goosebumps!?

Are there any cast changes?

After all this waiting, it’s only natural to wonder what’s happened to the beloved cast of When Calls the Heart. Thankfully, viewers can delight in the fact that teacher Elizabeth (Erin Krakow), Hope Valley mountie Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry), saloon owner Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally), actress Rosemary LeVeaux Coulter (Pascale Hutton), her husband Leland Coulter (Kavan Smith), and other series favorites will return for season eight.

But that’s not all! There will be a few newbies, too—a family of four, The Canfields, are set to arrive in Hope Valley. Can't wait to meet them!
