Calum Scott collaborates with Vietnamese singer Hoang Duyen for revamp of his single ‘Heaven’

A music video featuring 23-year-old Vietnamese singer Hoang Duyen for British singer-songwriter Calum Scott’s single “Heaven” was released on Thursday.

Organized by Universal Music Vietnam, the collaboration with Hoang is a revamped version of his single “Heaven,” which was first released on April 29. Hoang’s agency, DreamS Entertainment, released a music video on Thursday amassing over 470,000 views as of this writing.

Scott, who has collaborated with several other Asian artists for “Heaven,” described Hoang as “the perfect choice for this song” and expressed excitement in working with a variety of talented artists. He has previously collaborated with Malaysian singer Diana Danielle, Filipino singer Darren Espanto and Indonesian singer Lyodra.

“I am so excited to be working with these incredible artists from Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam,” Scott was quoted as saying. “I have always had a special place in my heart for Asia, so to sing with local talent from across the region is a real honor. Each of these artists has brought something new to our collaboration, and I can't wait for everyone to hear them."

Hoang described her collaboration with Scott as “going to heaven.”

“At first, I was super surprised with the project that started with an invitation from Universal Music Vietnam,” Hoang said. “I loved the demo right after the first listen. I also love Calum’s songs and his inspirational story at Britain’s Got Talent” and accepted the offer without hesitation.”

Scott previously participated on the musical TV show “Britain’s Got Talent" in 2015 and has released several hit songs that have topped worldwide music charts including “Dancing On My Own” in 2016 and “You Are The Reason” in 2017.

Hoang became a rising star after collaborating with Vietnamese singer Hua Kim Tuyen on the song “Sai Gon Dau Long Qua,” also known as “Saigon, It Hurts,” in 2021.

“Heaven” is the fourth single on Scott’s second album “Bridges,” which will be released on June 17.
