Calvin and Hobbes cartoonist Bill Watterson is back, with a new graphic novel for adults. The Mysteries was created by Watterson alongside caricaturist and illustrator John Kascht, and according to publisher Simon & Schuster's website is a "fable for grown-ups."

The Mysteries is one of Bill Watterson's first forays into adult-focused books, and his first return to print publication since his retirement in 1995. John Kascht is a caricaturist with many years of experience, and his distinct style stands out in the pages that have been released thus far.
The book will officially debut on October 10, 2023—an appropriately moody month for the book's aesthetic. In the meantime, you can preorder the book ahead of its release.
