Cam Brown penalty nearly starts fight during third quarter of Ohio State-Michigan game

Michigan's Vincent Gray (4), Michael Barrett (23) and Brad Hawkins (2) celebrate after breaking up a pass intended for Ohio State's Garrett Wilson.

Ohio State and Michigan don’t like each other. Everyone understood that before the No. 2-ranked Buckeyes and No.5-ranked Wolverines played on Saturday.

But the emotions took over in the third quarter.

As Ohio State trailed Michigan 21-13, defensive back Cam Brown ripped off the helmet of Michigan receiver Roman Wilson near goal line and a fracas occurred afterwards.

Brown was flagged for an unsportsmanlike conduct as the two units nearly brawled on the Michigan Stadium field before coaches, including Ryan Day, were able to settle the players down.

“To say there’s bad blood between these two schools is an understatement,” FOX announcer Gus Johnson said.
