Cam Newton in Foxborough as offseason workout programs begin

As the New England Patriots 2021 offseason continues on, quarterback Cam Newton has been working hard throughout it as he looks to regain his form. In his Sunday column, ESPN’s Mike Reiss indicated that Newton has been “been in town the past week working out.”

Newton has a lot riding on these workouts. For starters, he has a $100,000 workout bonus as part of his one-year contract with the Patriots. Between the offseason work as he has participated in, as well as the fact that he is currently in Foxboro, seems to be working hard at trying to not only get the bonus, but also trying to prove the 2020 season was a fluke.

As the offseason programs began on Monday, Newton was among the Patriots players in attendance.

The spotlight is undoubtedly on Newton, who has new weapons to facilitate a big 2021 season. It will be up to him to see if he can get the job done.\
