RAPHIELLE JOHNSON: Chris Paul has missed Phoenix's last five games due to a sore right heel, and there's no telling when he'll be able to return to game action. His absence has opened the door for backup Cameron Payne to take center stage, and he's performed well. In three of the five games played, he's scored 20 points or more. That includes a 29-point effort in Wednesday's win over the Warriors.

In those five games, Payne is averaging 20 points, 3 rebounds, nearly 6 assists, 1.2 steals, and 3.6 3-pointers in 33.5 minutes per game, shooting 44.9% from the field, just over 46% from 3, and 85.7% from the foul line. Still rostering just 52% of Yahoo leagues, Payne is providing sixth-round per game value in 9-cat formats over the last two weeks. While he should already be rostered in competitive leagues, that percentage lends itself to thinking that there are plenty of waiver wires that he's still sitting on, especially in casual leagues. It's time to change that.
