Camacho Activity Center Hosts Online Programs For Adults Ages 50+

NORTH AUSTIN, TX —The Lorraine "Grandma" Camacho Activity Center, offering year round activities and events for children and adults, has transitioned to online programming as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, but continues featuring virtual fun for all ages to enjoy. Providing quality outdoor recreation, nature-based education, and cultural art programs to youth, teens, adults, and seniors, Camacho specializes in adventure programming such as mountain biking, kayaking, rock climbing, filmmaking, hiking, and much more!

Adults ages 50 and over will have great opportunities to enjoy community and learn new interests with the Adult Programs including Adult Social Hour and the Adult Lecture Series, all from the comfort and safety of home and feature:

  • Active Adult Thursday Zoom Social Hour is designed for adults ages 50 and over to meet on Zoom once a week to participate in a casual discussion of different topics. The virtual events are free and are offered Thursday from 5 p.m. - 6 p.m. with a Zoom link emailed to you upon registration. For more details, click HERE.

  • The Adult Lecture Series is a program that will give you a chance to engage with experts in a variety of professions all around Austin and the world.
