Cambria Christmas Market is coming to an end, but you can still see lights. Here’s how

One of San Luis Obispo County’s most popular holiday attractions closes this weekend — but there are still more chances to see the sparkling lights.

Modeled after a traditional German Christmas market, the Cambria Christmas Market features more than 2 million lights as well as artisan vendors, live music, train rides, food, drinks and visits with Santa Claus.

The Christmas market kicked off Nov. 24 at the Cambria Pines Lodge, 2905 Burton Drive in Cambria, and remains open through Saturday.

“We’re mostly sold out” of tickets, organizers said in a news release Tuesday, which means time is running out to see the market in its full glory.

How can I see Cambria Christmas lights?

Visitors can still take advantage of Lights at Cambria Pines, described by organizers as “an intimate holiday light experience” that’s normally available on nights the Cambria Christmas Market is closed.

As part of the Lights at Cambria Pines package, guests at three Cambria hotelsCambria Pines Lodge, 2905 Burton Drive; Sea Otter Inn, 6656 Moonstone Beach Drive; and the J. Patrick House and Inn, 2990 Burton Drive — can get access to the Christmas lights in addition to overnight accommodation and breakfast.

As the name suggests, Lights at Cambria Pines only features access to the festive light displays. The rest of the Christmas market activities are not included.

The Lights at Cambria Pines package is normally available through Dec. 31. However, organizers said, “due to popular demand, hotel guests can see the lights until Jan. 14.”

Organizers invited guests to “kick off the new year with a relaxing getaway” away from holiday crowds.

How much do hotel rooms cost?

As of Tuesday, room rates for the Cambria Pines Lodge, Sea Otter Inn and J. Patrick House and Inn ranged from $299 to $479 a night, depending on the location.

More information about room reservations is available online.
