Camden shooting leaves one dead, one wounded

CAMDEN — A shooting on Saturday morning in Camden's Morgan Village section left one man dead and another man wounded, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.

Camden County police responded to multiple 911 calls in the area of 1000 Lakeshore Drive at around 10:19 a.m.

They found Yahmir Catoe, of Camden, on the ground in a nearby park suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The 18-year-old was taken to Cooper University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at 4:22 p.m. The slaying marked Camden's fourth homicide this year.

A 21-year-old Camden man, was wounded in the shooting and taken to Cooper for treatment.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation in ongoing,
