Camelback Resort celebrates 60 years with spring adventures, Sky Flyer Superman

Camelback Resort will celebrate its 60th anniversary this spring with the opening of its signature outdoor attractions, including two of the longest ziplines in the commonwealth.

Though the winter weather is on its way out, Camelback Resort pointed out "spring is the time to smell new flowers, watch the greening of the Poconos, appreciate wildlife, feel the refreshing breezes and be exhilarated by the thrilling mountain playground with fun-for-all challenges at Camelback Resort" in a recent release.

Included in that thrilling mountain playground are some of the resort's most exciting features, while numerous attractions set to open over the coming weeks of April.

This April, Camelback Resort will open their litany of outdoor attractions, including the new Sky Flyer Superman, featuring 4,000-foot ziplines which allow riders the experience of "flying" like the Man of Steel himself.

Starting on Friday, April 7, the Mountain Coaster will treat visitors to an exciting 4,500 feet of steel track with passenger cars that zoon riders down the steep slopes of Camelback Mountain.

On Saturday, April 15, the resort will open the 1,000-foot Double Barrel Zipline, a "heart-pounding experience" where zipliners are harnessed and sent to sail through and over the trees, up to eight stories above ground.

If you're in the market for ziplining adventures, the new Sky Flyer Superman attraction will open that same day, featuring 4,000-foot ziplines which allow riders the experience of "flying" like the Man of Steel himself.

Rounding out the month, Camelback will begin Mountain Segway/Utility Task Vehicle Tours. These off-road excursions allow riders to travel the forest and witness the spectacular views of the Poconos.
