Cameras capture rockets, interceptions between Israel-Gaza

Palestinians fired uninterrupted barrages of rockets into Israel, as its military pounded Gaza with air strikes through the early hours of Tuesday (May 11), in a dramatic escalation of clashes in Jerusalem.

Six Israelis were wounded when a rocket hit and partially destroyed a building in the southern Israeli city of Ashkelon early on Tuesday (May 11), medics said.

"We heard a 'boom' and a siren. There was a smell of smoke, I went outside, people started going outside, I helped people out so that they don't step on broken glass. I just helped people and then police came and started working," said Victor Vazyan who lives in the building.

People who gathered at the site sought cover when sirens, warning of more rocket fire from Gaza, echoed across the streets.
