Cameron Mitchell Restaurants will open a new steakhouse concept dubbed Butcher & Rose in downtown Columbus next summer, the restaurant's lead development partner, Edwards Companies, has announced in a press release.

The restaurant will be located on the ground floor of the redeveloped Preston Centre, formerly the PNC Tower at 155 E. Broad St., and will connect to the development's below-grade garden.

The restaurant is Cameron Mitchell's first entry back into the steakhouse arena after selling nearby Mitchell's Steakhouse in 2008.

"Butcher & Rose will be a stunning, lively and over-the-top steakhouse experience for guests to indulge and create memorable moments with mouthwatering culinary creations," said Cameron Mitchell, CEO and founder of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, in the release. "The partnership with Edwards Companies will bring new life to this section of Broad Street, offering an unforgettable high-end dining experience and the genuine hospitality our raving fans have grown to love."

Renderings for the restaurants show a vibrant, floral and modern aesthetic, while the release promises a dining space "styled in unexpected ways that will consistently surprise and delight guests."

The restaurant will have a capacity of 250 guests and will offer a full bar, private dining rooms and outdoor patio seating. Butcher & Rose will be open for dinner seven days a week.

"We've seen growing excitement around the Preston Centre and surrounding downtown development, and are excited that Cameron Mitchell Restaurants is joining us on this journey that will help attract visitors and residents to this soon-to-be buzzing neighborhood," said Jeff Edwards, president of the Edwards Companies.
