Cameron Norrie reaches Wimbledon semi-finals with five-set victory over David Goffin

Cameron Norrie produced a thrilling fightback to defeat David Goffin in five sets on Court No 1 and become Britain’s first Wimbledon semi-finalist since Johanna Konta in 2017.

Norrie appeared to be heading towards defeat when Goffin took the third set 6-2 but the Briton summoned all his spirit to clinch the fourth set and then broke the Belgian’s serve at 5-5 in the deciding set.

The 26-year-old will now face Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals after the defending champion produced a momentous comeback of his own to beat Jannik Sinner earlier in the afternoon.
