Some Camp Jordan businesses temporarily close due to water main break

Mar. 1—Crews were working on Monday to repair a sinkhole that appeared in the parking lot of an East Ridge Starbucks following a water main break this weekend.

Tennessee American Water spokeswoman Daphne Kirksey said in an email to the Times Free Press that a separate company not working on a Tennessee American project accidentally hit the line on Sunday afternoon, which was repaired by that night.

A handful of businesses including Buddy's bar-b-q and Dairy Queen had to close early on Sunday due to a lack of water as crews repaired the line.
