Camp Louise focuses on supporting campers' mental health

A Maryland children's camp has adapted in an effort to help support those who are overwhelmed with emotion. As summer camp starts to wind down, those who attend sleepaway camp will come home with many stories to tell. Some campers may also share how camp has changed to address mental health needs in a way that is out in the open and stigma-free. Back in the day at summer camps, people went to the infirmary for bug bites, bandages and Bactine. But getting help at one camp in Western Maryland has changed considerably, especially when it comes to mental health.
