May 14—The following area Albright College graduating seniors have been named lifetime Jacob Albright Scholars for outstanding academic performance:

Natasha Halulakos of Cumru Township, a Gov. Mifflin High School graduate, majored in business administration, communications and earned Communications Departmental Distinction. Brandom Hernandez Ruiz of Reading, a Reading High School graduate, majored in international relations, political science. Veloie Mastrocola of Wyomissing, a Pennsylvania Virtual Charter School graduate, majored in English and earned English Departmental Distinction. Jared Rolon of Exeter Township, a graduate of Exeter High School, majored in game and simulation development. Joshua Templin of Reading, a graduate of Hamburg High School, majored in communications.

Graduation

—Bradley Nafziger of Reading received a Doctor of Medicine degree from Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine.

—Nathaniel Moser, Barto, graduated from Piedmont University, Demorest, Ga.

—The following area students are graduating from the University of Georgia this spring: Jack A. Malandra, Sinking Spring, Bachelor of Business Administration in management information systems; Sydney M. Noecker-Redner, Wyomissing, Bachelor of Arts in public relations; Benjamin M. Terefenko, Wyomissing, Bachelor of Business Administration in finance.

Scholarships

—Michael A. Sydor III, Exeter Township, completed the academic year as an Allan Myers scholar at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The Allan Myers Corporate Scholars Program is backed by the region's largest heavy civil contracting firm. To be selected, students must be an employee (or family member of an employee) of Allan Myers enrolled full time in applicable programs.

—The following area students received scholarships from ARRO Consulting Inc., a Lititz-based engineering, environmental, and management consulting firm: Lydia Leaman, Messiah University; Rachel Leaman, Gov. Mifflin High School; Ben Meister, Twin Valley High School.

—Clay Weaver of Reinholds was named criminal justice student of the year at the University of the Cumberlands, Williamsburg, Ky.

Honor societies

—Anna Heitmann, Shoemakersville, and Katherine Buerke, Reading, were inducted into the Lebanon Valley College chapter of Delta Alpha Pi, an academic honor society for students with disabilities.

—Isabella Getz, Wernersville, and Kayla Border, Robesonia, were inducted into the Lebanon Valley College chapter of the Kappa Pi honors society.

—Andrew Gordos, Leesport, and Nicole Weinstein, Mohnton, were inducted into the University of Scranton chapter of Alpha Sigma Nu, the national Jesuit honor society. Gordos is a junior biomathematics major. Weinstein is a senior accounting major.

Community service

The following area students were recognized as Lebanon Valley College Gold Community Service Award recipients: Allison Jones, Sinking Spring; Emily Lakin, Exeter Township; Mary McClelland, Douglassville.

Career readiness

Sarah Riegel of Birdsboro earned an Elevate Career Readiness Badge at Moravian University.
