Mansfield Senior product Erica Johnson is picking up right where she left off last season for the Ohio University Bobcats.

After earning third team All-Mid-American Conference when she averaged 18.7 points and 3.8 assists as a redshirt junior, she is off to a torrid pace to the 2021-22 season.

Through five games, Johnson is averaging 17.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, five assists and three steals for the Bobcats.

Johnson scored 14 points and added four rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block in a 105-69 loss to Notre Dame, and then put up 11 points, six rebounds, five assists and a steal in a 66-63 loss to Liberty.

But it is what she has done during the Bobcats' current three-game winning streak that has raised eyebrows. In a 73-62 win over Cincinnati, Johnson scored a season-high 27 points and added six rebounds, six assists and four steals while drilling five 3-pointers. She followed that up with 21 points, seven rebounds, two assists and three steals in a 90-46 win over Mercyhurst and added 16 points, eight assists, six rebounds and four steals in a 98-45 win over Florida A&M.

The Bobcats are 3-2 under Johnson's leadership and host Richmond on Saturday before traveling to Minnesota on Wednesday.

Let's check in with all of the other Richland County stars making waves in college with this week's Campus Tour.
