Canaan Smith-Njigba, Ohio State WR's brother, leads Indianapolis past Columbus Clippers

Recap: Indianapolis hit three triples in a nine-run third inning to jump out to a big lead. Canaan Smith-Njigba, brother of Ohio State receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, was 3 for 5 with two RBIs and tripled for the second consecutive night. Hoy Park also had three hits and two RBIs for Indianapolis. The Clippers' Will Brennan went 4 for 4, and Alex Call and Mitchell Tolman homered. Columbus starter Tobias Myers (1-6) allowed seven runs on eight hits in 2 2/3 innings. Aaron Pinto relieved him and gave up three runs on two hits in 1/3 of an inning. The Clippers' Nolan Jones was 2 for 4 with two RBIs and is hitting .400.
