Canada has made a special coin to commemorate the late British Queen

Queen Elizabeth was Canada's head of state for 70 years

Her death in September sparked a huge outpouring of affection in the country

and collectors scrambled to secure rare coins and bills bearing her portrait

This 2-dollar coin or 'toonie' has a special black outer ring

It features artist Susanna Blunt's portrait of Elizabeth on one side

On the other, the traditional Brent Townsend polar bear design

The black-ringed toonie will go into circulation in December 2022
