Canadian Bhangra Dancer Celebrates COVID-19 Vaccine With Traditional Moves

A Bhangra dancer from Whitehorse, in Canada’s Yukon territory, went viral this week after he starred in a video of him dancing for joy after getting his COVID-19 vaccine.

Gurdeep Pandher shared his delight by performing the traditional dance on the frozen Lake Laberge, outside Whitehorse.

Whitehorse became the first Canadian regional capital to offer vaccines to all adults on Monday, March 1.

Speaking to Storyful, Pandher said he recorded the dance to “give a positive and joyful message about the vaccine to people, especially those who are still in hesitation about getting it.”
