The fires have had far-reaching impacts, including 2,000 miles away in the Charlotte area.
Upper-level winds high in the atmosphere are carrying the smoke all the way to the Carolinas giving the skies a hazy, milky look.
These conditions in the atmosphere may be around through Wednesday with projections showing North Carolina riding on the fringe of the smoke plume.
Air quality hasn’t been impacted yet with most sensors in the green as of Monday afternoon.
Places closer to the fires have seen significantly reduced air quality.
