Canadiens' Byron has surgery one day after Drouin
Forward Paul Byron underwent knee surgery on Tuesday and is expected to be out four weeks, the Montreal Canadiens announced.
That procedure came a day after forward Jonathan Drouin had wrist surgery and will miss at least eight weeks.
Both players were injured in the third period of Friday night's 5-2 victory over the Capitals in Washington.
On the season, Byron, 30, has registered four points (one goal, three assists) in 19 games.
The 24-year-Drouin also has played in 19 games, recording 15 points (seven goals, eight assists).
