After an opening ceremony Saturday at the Downtown Pavilion, participants took turns walking around a track lined with luminaria bags as supporters cheered them on. Caregivers of cancer patients then joined the survivors.

In addition to a survivor dessert reception at 3 p.m., the event included live performances and activities, plus DJ-provided music, raffles and more.

After nightfall, relay teams helped light the luminaria bags surrounding the track during a ceremony to honor and remember loved ones who had battled cancer.
