Candace Cameron Bure still supporting 'Fuller House' co-star Lori Loughlin: We're 'family'

Candace Cameron Bure is continuing to use only kind words when asked about her "Fuller House" co-star Lori Loughlin.

During an appearance on "Today with Kathie Lee and Hoda" Tuesday, the actress, 42, was asked about Loughlin's alleged involvement in a college bribery scandal after first breaking her silence at last month's Kids' Choice Awards. In addition to acting with Loughlin on Netflix's "Fuller House," Cameron Bure also starred with Loughlin in its predecessor "Full House" (1987-1995).

"You know, it's too personal to us," Cameron Bure, who plays D.J. Tanner-Fuller, said Tuesday. "We would never want to talk about someone that's such a dear and close friend, but I think, I've already said that we are family and we stand by each other and pray for each other and will always be there for each other."

After "Fuller House" won favorite funny TV show at Nickelodeon's awards show on March 23, Cameron Bure preached unconditional love.

"A loving family sticks together no matter what,” she said onstage. "They stick together through the hard times, they support each other, they encourage one another, they pray for each other and they stand by their side, no matter how tough it gets."

"Full House" patriarch Bob Saget echoed Cameron Bure's sentiment to TMZ a few days later.

"I just love who I love," he said. "Candace said it really good at the Kids’ Choice Awards: you love who you love. Life’s complicated. I don’t like talking about it."

Loughlin, who plays Aunt Becky on the programs, was arrested for allegedly paying $500,000 to guarantee her two daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose, admission to the University of Southern California as members of the crew team, though neither was an athlete.
