Candidates file for School races

Dec. 6—Incumbent members of Muskogee, Hilldale and Fort Gibson boards of Education filed for reelection this week at the Muskogee Election Board.

Incumbents filing Monday included Muskogee Board President Debra HorseChief and Fort Gibson Board President Larry Sand, both holding office 4. Incumbent Hilldale Office 4 school board member Vernon Antonioni also filed Monday.

Filing for area school board races continues through 5 p.m. Wednesday at county election boards. School board primary elections, with three or more candidates, will be Feb. 13. Voter registration deadline for the February election is Jan. 19. Early voting will be Feb. 8 and 9.

School board runoffs, or general elections with only two candidates, will be April 12, with a voter registration deadline of March 8.

Races have formed for Office 4 in Keys, Checotah and Indian Capital Technology Center and for an unexpired term for Eufaula, Office 2.

As of 5 p.m. Tuesday, the following candidates filed for area school boards:
