Who are your top three campaign contributors?

Tobi Jackson, Cam Sadler and Ryan Catala on the January 17, 2023 Campaign Finance Report

What is the most important distinction between you and your opponent(s)?

For the first time in decades, the FWISD board has a majority of first term trustees. While this provides a fresh perspective, the balance of my tenure as a trustee with three decades experience in business, as a classroom educator, administrator and two terms as board president delivers extreme value to our students, employees, parents, taxpayers and our board. FWISD hired a new superintendent, is in the midst of a major reorganization, closing out our $748M bond of 2017 and embarking upon the single largest bond in the history of FWISD at $1.2B, now more than ever: experience matters.

What are the biggest issues in this race?

Building parental and community engagement to deliver exceptional student achievement and opportunity for every student regardless of zip code and circumstance.

Our priority must be to strengthen our financial position to deliver a balanced budget for taxpayers and stakeholders.

The 2021 bond contains $1.2B to reconstruct all middle schools and build 4 brand new elementary schools. These reconstructed and new schools will deliver state of the art learning academies for our students, educators and community of today and future generations. Adequate oversight of these significant construction projects to ensure they are delivered on time and under budget, is paramount.
