Here are the candidates running for local offices in Franklin County's 2023 primary
Below are the names of people who filed to run in the Republican and Democratic primary elections in Franklin County on May 16.
Candidates are listed in the order in which they signed up with the county elections office. Each is listed with the municipality in which they live unless that information is apparent from the position for which they are running.
An (i) indicates the candidate is an incumbent, whether elected or appointed.
Candidates could cross-file for some positions, such as magisterial district judge and school board director.
Independents and third-party candidates and voters cannot participate in primary elections in Pennsylvania. The last day to register to vote in the primary is May 1. Independent and third-party candidates have until Aug. 1 to file their nomination papers for the general election.
The general election will be Nov. 7. The last day to register to vote in the general election is Oct. 23.
