Candy bar scam in Chippewa Falls

CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Two men running a candy bar scam in Chippewa Falls have been spotted again. Police are now saying the non-profits these men claim they’re with, have been getting calls nationwide about the scam the two are running. A local bank tells police the two men have been trying to sell staff and customers $10 candy bars.

The man in the black jacket is identified as Chris J Jefferson from Illinois. The other man in the lighter jacket goes by a fake name. Police are still trying to identify him.

Chippewa Falls Police say they’re now alerting agencies state-wide.
