Cannery Pier Hotel & Spa renovation complete
Feb. 9—The Cannery Pier Hotel & Spa's overall multimillion dollar renovation project begins at the entrance with a new bronze statue, The Big Catch, created by artist Douglas Granum.
The hotel lobby now includes the addition of Bar 600, where cocktails are served, along with Pacific Northwest craft beers and wine. Oyster shooters, small plates, seasonal boards and flatbread are also available from the hotel's new kitchen.
In addition, the Spa at Cannery Pier Hotel has been redesigned and upgraded, and includes a lounge overlooking the Astoria Bridge and Columbia River. The spa continues to offer a mineral hot tub and Finnish sauna, and also features Aveda products and those from local artisans.
The hotel's many improvements and upgrades were recognized in Sunset Magazine's Travel Awards 2022: Stunning Seaside Renovations. "We are proud we've achieved the best of both worlds," Linh DePledge, general manager of the hotel, said, "incorporating new elements, and further elevating the guest-favorite experiences that are the hallmark of the hotel."
