Cannes' festival palace turned into vaccine center

Cannes famed festival palace, a usually star-studded venue during the southern French city's prestigious film festival, has transformed into a vaccination center in France's bid to advance its inoculation drive.

Opened on Saturday (January 9), the center that occupies a part of the Palais des Festivals et des Congres conducts vaccinations for health workers and carers aged 50 and older, and for those who are younger but who have comorbidity factors, said Dominique Aude-Lasset, deputy chief of services for the city of Cannes.
