AMERICA FERRERA: Every generation has its fight. We can't move forward without looking back. And looking back is uncomfortable for a lot of people-- even for good people, even for woke people, enlightened people-- assuming your role in history is not an easy or comfortable thing to do. A lot of the work that needs to get done in order for a woman's movement to feel holistic and inclusive will require a lot of courage and a lot of empathy and a lot of discomfort. I think we need to get comfortable with being uncomfortable for a little while. And I see that as very urgent work that women need to be doing right now.
