Canterbury opens Kander-Ebb retrospective ‘The World Goes ’Round’

MICHIGAN CITY — “The World Goes ’Round” opens July 6 and continues through July 16 at Canterbury Summer Theatre, 807 Franklin St.
The show’s a retrospective of the Broadway writing team of composer John Kander and lyricist Fred Ebb, the creators of classic musicals such as “Cabaret,” “Chicago,” “Kiss of the Spider Woman” and “Curtains!”
Filled with humor, romance, drama and nonstop melody, the show celebrates life and the fighting spirit that keeps us all going as five individuals find themselves careening through the world of love, babies and coffee.
Songs include “Mr. Cellophane,” “Maybe This Time,” “Cabaret” and “New York, New York.”
Performances are at 2 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, 7:30 p.m. Fridays, and 6:30 p.m. Saturdays. All times CDT.
