Canton Area League of Women Voters to host Issue 2 recreational marijuana forum on Oct. 5

PLAIN TWP. − The Canton Area League of Women Voters will host a forum on the pros and cons of legalizing recreational marijuana, which is Issue 2 on the Nov. 7 ballot, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Trinity United Church of Christ, 3909 Blackburn Road NW. Attendees should use Door 2.

Panel members include J. Dean Carro, retired professor at the University of Akron School of Law; Tom Haren, partner and cannabis practice chair at Frantz Ward LLP in Cleveland; Matt Hisrich, co-owner of the Quonset Hut; Keith Hochadel, Canton Township trustee and counselor; Luke Marino, owner of Ratio Cannabis in New Philadelphia; and Derek McClowry, Canton Municipal Court magistrate. Retired Canton City Law Director Joe Martuccio will moderate the panel.
