Canton loses to Maine 2-1 for the spot in Little League World Series

After an hour of rain delay the undefeated Canton Little League team was sent home Thursday night after losing to Maine 2-1.

The boys from Canton Little League fell to Maine’s Gray-New Gloucester Little League at the New England regional tournament in Bristol, Connecticut.

Canton had defeated New Hampshire’s Salem Little League 5-0 on Wednesday afternoon to reach the championship game.

Rhode Island will face an undefeated New York squad on Friday.

Canton to take on Maine for spot in Little League World Series

Maine will represent New England at the Little League World Series, which will be held from Aug. 16-27 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
