DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE VIDEO GAME, BOOK OR TV SHOW? – My favorite videogame is "Destiny 2." My favorite show is "Adventure Time."

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP? − I want to go to MIT and pursue a job in computer sciences.

IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT SCHOOL, WHAT WOULD IT BE? − Free lunches

IF YOU COULD HAVE A SUPERPOWER, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND HOW WOULD YOU USE IT TO CHANGE THE WORLD? − Speed. I could use it to take things to people in need.

De’asha Clark, fourth grade at Alliance Intermediate School − De'asha is a well-mannered, polite, kind and honest student. She treats other students with the utmost respect even when adults are not around.

Andrew Bryant, fifth grade at Alliance Intermediate School − Andrew is a supportive classmate and has a heart of gold. He leads by example and is a hard worker each day in class.

FAIRLESS LOCAL

Rilynn Geiger, Fairless Middle School, seventh grade − Rilynn is always doing the right thing. She is always on task and kind to others. Her work is always neatly done. She sets a great example for the other students academically and socially.

Jack Kirby, Fairless Middle School, eighth grade − Jack is a very mature young man who is willing to go out his way to help in any way possible. He comes to school with a great attitude every day, displaying great manners and with a calming presence.

LAKE CENTER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL

Melannia Daniels, sixth grade, Lake Center Christian School − Melannia takes complete responsibility for her schoolwork and her actions. She has a gentle, meek spirit and shows respect to everyone around her. She also impresses me with the creative twist she gives to her assignments.

Harland Kisamore, eighth grade, Lake Center Christian School − Harland is a thoughtful student who strives for excellence in and out of the classroom. He is kind to his peers and shows respect in the classroom for teachers and students on a consistent basis. He strives to live with integrity as he works diligently on his schoolwork in order to fully understand each concept taught.

MINERVA LOCAL

Samara Weaver, Minerva Middle School, sixth grade − Sammie is always challenging herself to go above and beyond what is asked of her. She is a positive student and peer. She asks lots of questions, is extremely responsible, and always tries her best. Her work ethic is extraordinary.

Trent Wright, Minerva Middle School, sixth grade − Trent is an extremely hard worker in the classroom. He asks engaging questions and is constantly ready to learn more every day. Trent is always on task and eager to help other students when they need it.

NORTH CANTON

Alivia Johnson, North Canton Intermediate School, third grade − Alivia is truly amazing as she consistently demonstrates exemplary character with a commitment to kindness, integrity, and leadership that is truly exceptional. She frequently goes out of her way to help classmates in need by making sure no one feels left out and showing a genuine concern for the well-being of others.

Levi Detweiler, North Canton Intermediate School, fourth grade − Levi has been showing his VIKE values since Day One of fourth grade by being a kind, hard-working kid who also has a very big heart! He has helped a new student in the classroom countless times (many without being asked), is always willing to go the extra mile in everything he does and displays leadership in and out of the classroom.

NORTHWEST LOCAL

Mary Jane (M.J.) Seese, Northwest Middle School, eighth grade − M.J. is an outstanding student who currently takes freshman level English, algebra, Spanish and is also in an enriched robotics course. She is active in the YMCA's Teen Leaders club, as well as the Middle School Speech and Debate club. In her spare time, she enjoys fishing and experimenting with her family's 3-D printer. The oldest of two children, M.J. hopes to one day attend college and study chemistry.

Landon Cogar, Northwest Middle School, eighth grade − Landon is a student-athlete involved in enriched coursework for English and Spanish. He is a member of the school's football and basketball teams, and also plays baseball. At home, he enjoys playing video games and fishing. He is the oldest of three children and hopes to one day attend college.

OSNABURG LOCAL

Eric Eagleson, fourth grade, East Canton Elementary − Eric Eagleson is a fourth-grade student at East Canton Elementary and a definite Kid of Character! Eric demonstrates perseverance, work ethic, and kindness in everything he does. He enjoys playing soccer, video games, and reading. Eric truly cares for others and makes both the teachers’ and students' days better by his actions and words.

PERRY LOCAL

Lily Wenning, Edison Middle School, eighth grade − Lily is such a hard worker in class and is very personable as she engages with her school community. Lily is kind, respectful, has a positive attitude and continually models good character in all she does.

Parker Schwartz, Whipple Elementary, fourth grade − Parker is a great example of the kind-hearted and hard-working student we strive for at Whipple Heights. He loves to interact with classmates and teachers and always has a kind word for everyone.

PLAIN LOCAL

Olivia Armstead, Glenwood, fifth grade − Olivia shows kindness towards others by writing kind notes and helping others. She strives to be a role model for other students and is a pleasure to have in our community.

SANDY VALLEY LOCAL

Dakota Broad, Sandy Valley Middle School, seventh grade − Dakota Broad is a trailblazer who aspires to one day take her hobby of working on engines to a full-time career as a mechanic. Dakota enjoys riding dirt bikes and learning mechanics from her father. Her favorite subject is language arts, and she participates in soccer as a teammate for the Valley United soccer team. Dakota feels it's important to be nice to everyone, and she wishes she could eliminate fighting from the world. Dakota makes a positive impact at our school each day!

Silas Felcyn, Sandy Valley Middle School, seventh grade − “Soccer is life” believes Silas Felcyn, a seventh grader at SVMS. When not playing soccer, he serves as the Student Council treasurer responsible for tracking and organizing the budget. He works hard to earn high grades and is helpful to others as a teammate and friend. One day he hopes to become an engineer, but, in the meantime, he’s extremely proud of making it to the Championship Tournament with Valley United soccer. Way to go, Silas!

SEBRING LOCAL

Alison Butler, McKinley Junior/Senior High School − Alison, a new student to our district, has been a model of character and demonstrated excellence in the classroom. She is making new friends and has become a great addition to our Trojan family.

Sylar Gindlesparger, McKinley Junior/Senior High School − Sylar is routinely observed making positive decisions in our hallways and classrooms. He has found a way to participate in the civic process by engaging the school board with a petition to wear hats in school. He has followed processes and protocols written for adults and done a great job learning how to advance a cause he believes in.

ST. THOMAS AQUINAS

Blakey Kopatz, St. Thomas Aquinas Middle School, eighth grade − Blakey is kind, friendly, and well-liked by her fellow students. She is an excellent student.

Augustine Schafer, St. Thomas Aquinas Middle School, sixth grade − Augustine is an outstanding student who is well-liked and respected by his teachers and peers.

STARK COUNTY CATHOLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

Marely Guit Morales, Our Lady of Peace School, fourth grade − Marely is a hard-working student. She is always doing the right thing, even when no one is looking. She is very respectful and well-liked by teachers and peers.

TUSLAW

Brynlee Dowling, Tuslaw Middle School, sixth grade − She always comes ready to learn and is dedicated to doing everything before her to the best of her ability. She is kind and willing to help others.

Caleb Walter, Tuslaw Middle School, sixth grade − Caleb always has a positive attitude, putting forth a lot of effort, not afraid to ask for help as needed. He is dedicated to extracurricular activities, while still balancing his responsibilities at school.
