Canton Woman's Club to host 'Art of Being Children' event

CANTON − The Canton Woman's Club, 822 Market Ave. N, will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. during the April 7 First Friday event, "Art of Being Children," an art competition for fifth graders in the Canton City School District.

The Canton Woman's Club will be one of many downtown venues featuring artwork to be judged for a $1,000 award. The Canton Woman's Club event is open and free to the public, with free punch and cookies being served throughout the evening. Visitors may tour both floors of the Victorian-era home, and the Victorian Lady Gift Shop will be open.

The club will host a grand Royal Tea from 1 to 4 p.m. April 15 to commemorate the coronation of King Charles III. Reservations are open to the public until March 29 by calling 330-453-4802. This party will feature delectable tea fare, beautiful tunes played by a bagpiper, and other surprises. The cost is $40 per person.
