Cape Cod Coronavirus Outbreak Traces Back To Chatham Restaurant

CHATHAM, MA — The latest cluster of COVID-19 cases in Massachusetts was traced back to the popular Chatham Squire restaurant. At least seven employees at the restaurant tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Boston Herald.

The restaurant was temporarily closed for cleaning and alternated being open and closed throughout the last week for similar reasons. The employees who are considered close contacts of those who tested positive have been advised to self-quarantine for 14 days.

All the positive cases identified were employees or staff members at the restaurant, not customers, according to the Boston Herald.

Robert Duncanson, Chatham’s director of Health & Natural Resource, told the Herald that any resident who ate at the restaurant and is showing symptoms should contact their doctor.
