Cape Cod Named Among U.S.'s Best Vacation Spots: Travel Magazine

HYANNIS, MA — The coronavirus pandemic has made vacationing a challenge in 2020, but Cape Cod was still named among the best family vacation spots in the United States according to travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler.

The magazine's editorial board annually names its favorite spots, and last week, the magazine wrote that "Cape Cod has remained a favorite of vacationing families for generations — and for good reason."

"From the moment you cross Sagamore Bridge (or Bourne Bridge—both connect the island to mainland Massachusetts), you, too, will be swayed by all it has to offer," the magazine wrote. "The picturesque ocean views and fresh-from-the-water lobster rolls are just the beginning."

Some of the highlights Condé Nast Traveler pointed out for families to check out included the Nauset Lighthouse, the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary and the Villages at Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club in Brewster.

Cape Cod was one of seven vacation spots listed. The list also included Catalina Island, California; Albuquerque, New Mexico; Alexandria, Virginia; Finger Lakes, New York; Moab, Utah; and Hilton Head, South Carolina.
