The event was a chance to recognize small and large businesses that provide an economic bedrock for Barnstable County. It was an opportunity to celebrate businesses that are established as well as those that are brand new, businesses providing traditional goods and services as well as those serving a niche audience.

Luke’s Super Liquors, with its six locations, and Sweet Izzy, a 350-square-foot, vegan, dairy and gluten-free ice cream shop in Harwich Port, had the same chances of winning awards in their respective categories. It was all up to the readers. They decided who they wanted to recognize for service, products, atmosphere, food, beverages, entertainment and more.
