Captain D's on Wrightsboro Road closed after Wednesday fire

Captain D's on Wrightsboro Road is closed following a structure fire Wednesday morning.

Four fire engines and two fire trucks were dispatched to the restaurant located at 3166 Wrightsboro Road just after 7:30 a.m., according to the Augusta Fire Department.

When employees entered the building to open, they noticed smoke inside and called 911, a fire department official said Wednesday afternoon.

There was very little fire, which was extinguished, but the business sustained damage and will be closed, officials said.

There were no reported injuries, according to the department. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
